Video #18: Palestinian demographic manipulation

Video#18: http://bit.ly/2bWEUN3; entire video-seminar: http://bit.ly/1ze66dS
1. The Palestinian Authority’s claim that Jews are a minority west of the Jordan River is a classic case of “lies, damn lies and statistics,” manipulating statistics, misrepresenting reality, misleading policy-makers and public opinion molders, aiming to scare Israel into conceding the Jewish geography of the over-towering mountain ridges of Judea and Samaria, as if it is a prerequisite for securing Jewish demography.
2.  The Palestinian goal is to obscure Israel’s powerful Jewish demographic tailwind and the rapid Westernization of Muslim demography west of the Jordan River and throughout the Middle East.
3.  Notwithstanding the display of gross negligence by the international establishment, which embraces Palestinian statistics without proper authentication, there is a 66% solid Jewish majority in the combined area of Judea, Samaria (West Bank) and pre-1967 Israel, enjoying a uniquely robust tailwind of Jewish fertility and migration. In 1900 and 1948, there was a 9% and 39% Jewish minority respectively.
4. There is a 1.15 million gap between the Palestinian statistics of 2.9 million Arabs in Judea and Samaria and the documented number of 1.75 million.
5. How do the Palestinians manipulate population statistics?
*Over 400,000 overseas residents are included in the Palestinian census, contrary to international standards, which stipulate elimination of those who stay overseas for over a year. Such a mal-practice was confirmed by the Head of the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, Hassan Abu Libdeh, at a February 26, 1998 press conference and its website. It was reaffirmed in October 2014 by Hassan Ilwi, the Palestinian Undersecretary of the Interior, and by an October 14, 2004 press release of the Palestinian Election Commission. According to a 1993 study by the World Bank, 350,000 overseas residents were included in the Palestinian statistics.*300,000 Jerusalem Arabs, who bear Israeli ID cards, are doubly-counted as Israelis and Palestinians.

*While the Palestinian Authority claims no net-emigration, the net-emigration of 240,000 Judea and Samaria Arabs has been documented by Israel’s Border Police since the first Palestinian census in 1997.

*Over 100,000 Arabs (mostly from Judea and Samaria) have married Israeli Arabs since 1997 and are doubly-counted as Israelis and Palestinians.

*A gap of 110,000 results from the systematic under-documentation of deaths – represented by the inclusion of Arabs born in 1847 in the June 2007 census – and inflated documentation of births, represented by a

World Bank study, which documented a 32% gap between birth documentation and Palestinian statistics.
6. The annual number of Jewish births surged by 75% from 80,400 in 1995 to 139,000 in 2015, while the annual number of Arab births has stabilized during that period. The 1969 6-birth-gap between Jewish and Arab fertility was closed in 2016, while Jewish fertility keeps trending upward.
7.  The number of births per Israeli Jewish woman (3.15 and 3.4 when both spouses are Israeli-born) is higher than any Arab country, other than the Sudan, Yemen and Iraq. The expansion of education among women, the use of contraceptives and urbanization have Westernized Muslim fertility: Iran – 1.8 births per woman, Saudi Arabia – 2.1, Egypt – 2.6, Jordan – 3.1, etc.
8.  The Arab fertility rate in Judea & Samaria was 5 births per woman in 2000, but 2.76 births in 2016. Median age was 17 in 2000, but 22.7 in 2016.9. The secular Jewish (Yuppie) fertility rate has surged unprecedentedly from a norm of 1-2 births per woman twenty years ago to a norm of 3-4 births, while the fertility rate of ultra-orthodox women has declined moderately, due to expanded participation in the labor market.

10. The number of Israelis staying overseas for over a year has shrunk since the global meltdown of 2008: 7,300 in 2013, compared to 14,200 in 1990 and 11,800 in 2007, despite Israel’s population increase from 4.5mn in 1990 to 8.2mn in 2013.
11.  Recent demographic trends expose the unreliability of Palestinian statistics and bode-well for Israel’s economy and national security. Unlike all other advanced economies, Israel will not have to import foreign manpower in order to sustain economic growth.
12.  Anyone claiming that Israel must concede geography (the dominant mountain ridges of Judea and Samaria), in order to secure demography, is either dramatically mistaken or outrageously misleading.
13.  The next video will feature the nature of the anti-US Islam-driven terrorism.

2023 Jewish demographic momentum in Israel

In 2022, the number of Israel’s Jewish births was 137,566 – 71%
higher than 1995 (80,400), compared to 43,417 Arab births – 19% higher
than 1995 (36,500).

In 2022, Jewish births were 76% of total births, compared to
69% in 1995. The surge of Jewish births has taken place due to
the unprecedented rise of births (since 1995) in the secular
sector, notwithstanding a rising level of education, income and
wedding age and expanded urbanization. Since 1995, Israel’s
ultra-orthodox sector has experienced a mild decrease of fertility.

In 1969: Israel’s Arab fertility rate (number of births per woman) was six births higher than the Jewish fertility rate. In 2021: Jewish fertility rate – 3.13; Israeli Arabs – 2.85; Judea and Samaria (West Bank) Arabs – 3.02.

Muslim fertility rate has been Westernized: Jordan – 2.9 births per woman, Iran – 1.9, Saudi Arabia – 1.9, Morocco – 2.27, Iraq – 3.17, Egypt – 2.76, Yemen – 2.91, United Arab Emirates – 1.62, etc.

Israel’s growing Jewish fertility rate reflects optimism, patriotism, attachment to roots, communal solidarity, frontier-mentality and less abortions. Arab demographic Westernization is attributed to sweeping urbanization, enhanced stature of women (education, employment, rising wedding age, shorter reproductive period) and contraceptives.
