Ben Gurion Declared Independence in 1948
in Defiance of the Demographic Establishment
Prof. Roberto Bacchi, Hebrew University, the founder of Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics, guru of contemporary Israeli demographers and statisticians, submitted to Ben Gurion, in 1944,, a six page document, which was followed by systematic lobbying:
“Political conclusions from my research on Jewish and Arab demographic developments in the Land of Israel“.
According to the best case scenario, the Jewish fertility rate will be 3 births per woman and the Arab fertility rate will decline from 7 to 6 births per woman.According to the best case scenario, in 2001, there will be 2.3 million Jews and 4.4 million Arabs in the Land of Israel – a 34% Jewish minority….
In 2018, there are 7 million Jews in Israel, next to 1.85 million Arabs in pre-1967 Israel and 1.85 million in Judea & Samaria – a 65.5% Jewish majority, benefitting from a tailwind of births and net-migration.
