"Security 101" – Passover 2006

Ynet Hebrew edition, April 01, 2006

How realistic are those, who blur the security irreplaceability of the Judea & Samaria (J&S) mountain ridges, which constitute the "Golan Heights" of Jerusalem, of the Tel Aviv-Jerusalem freeway and of the coastal plain?

If they would merely assume that the peace treaty with Jordan, and the demise of the Saddam regime, have eliminated the deadly threat from Israel's eastern front, DA'YE'NOU (it would have sufficed).

A SOLUTION TO TERRORISM

The US-Israel Saga: A Win-Win Relationship

Ynet Hebrew edition, May 11, 2005

Statements made by, and the conduct of, Israel's leaders since 1993 create the false impression that Israel-US ties constitute a one-way relationship.  The presumption is that the US gives and Israel receives, leading to Israel s inferior position and the alleged compulsion to follow the State Department dictates.

However, Former Secretary of State and NATO forces commander Alexander Haig refutes this claim, saying:  "I am pro-Israel because Israel constitutes the largest US aircraft carrier that cannot be sunk, does not carry even one US soldier, and is located in a most critical region for US national security."

Free Palestinian Election?

Ynet Hebrew Edition, December 27, 2004

The Palestinian elections, which will be held in January 2005 cannot be free.  Free election on one hand, and the nature of the Palestinian Authority on the other hand, constitutes an oxymoron.
